How do I activate a free DV SSL certificate?

On the detail page of a specific web hosting in the customer administration, you can find the current status of your website in the "SSL Certificate" field and the option to "Manage":

After clicking "Manage," the "Request Certificate" button becomes active. By checking the box to agree to the terms and conditions for SSL certificates, the certificate request will be sent to the certification authority.

The certificate will be issued within a few minutes. You will be notified of the successful issuance of the certificate by email:

 

 

For a new web hosting order with the Linux operating system, no further steps are needed.
The DV SSL certificate installation will be completed automatically, including for subdomains. You can then test HTTPS availability for your website as explained at the end of this article.

Further steps for web hosting with the Windows operating system: 

After the successful issuance of the DV SSL certificate, you will have the option to install the certificate on the web server.

The certificate must be installed individually for each subdomain.

 

 

Now, you only need to wait for the certificate installation on the server and the automatic DNS IP address update, which may take up to two hours. You will again be notified of the successful installation by email.

 

 

 

After completing the installation of the DV SSL service and verifying the website's availability in the browser over the secure HTTPS protocol at your address https://yourdomain.tld, it is necessary to configure automatic redirection to the HTTPS protocol in your website's content.
