Terms and conditions for receiving a free DV SSL certificate

Free DV SSL certificates can be used by customers who meet the following conditions:
 
  • INTERNET CZ, a.s. (FORPSI) is the registrar of the domain name.
  • A webhosting service (any variant except Email or Managed Hosting services) is set up with INTERNET CZ, a.s. (FORPSI).
  • The owner of the domain and the webhosting must be the same entity.
  • The domain must use FORPSI DNS servers.
  • No other SSL service is set up for the given webhosting.
 
If these conditions are met, the customer can activate the free DV SSL certificate.
  • It is a "Domain Validated" type certificate.
  • The certificate is issued by the Italian certification authority Actalis S.p.a.
  • The certificate is valid only for the primary domain of the website (it does not cover alias domains).
  • The certificate can be activated for all subdomains set up for the given web hosting.
  • The so-called Private Key cannot be exported; the certificate can only be used with FORPSI shared webhosting.
 
The DV SSL certificate is valid for one year. Before its expiration, the system will re-verify the activation conditions. If the conditions are met, the DV SSL certificate will be automatically renewed for another year.

The customer can uninstall the DV SSL certificate at any time during its validity. In such a case, the certificate remains valid. However, if it is removed and invalidated (so-called revocation), the DV SSL certificate will be canceled. A new certificate can be requested after a 14-day period.
