How to change the PHP version for your FORPSI web hosting

Using an up-to-date, supported version of PHP is important for the security and reliable operation of your website. Newer versions provide security fixes, performance improvements and new features for web applications.

Before changing the PHP version, we recommend checking that your content management system, plugins, themes and other website components support it.

You can change the PHP version directly in your Customer Account by following the steps below.

How to change the PHP version


The following PHP versions are currently available for Linux web hosting services:

  • Linux 8.5 / 8.4 / 8.3 / 8.2 / 8.1 / 8.0 / 7.4
To change your web hosting’s PHP version or upgrade to the latest available version, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Customer Account.
  2. Go to Webhosting and click on the relevant domain name.
  3. The PHP field displays the currently selected version:

  4. Click Change, select the PHP version you want to use and click Set up to confirm:

The new PHP version will take effect within a few moments.
