Fixing a component in the SuperSite editor

In the SuperSite editor, you can pin a component to a specific position on the page using the Hookups feature. This function is useful for keeping elements like navigation menus or logos always visible when scrolling through the page.

How to activate the Hookups feature

  1. Activating Hookups:
    • Click Design in the toolbar.
    • Select the Advanced option (gear icon).
    • Enable the Hookups option. This allows the Hookups feature for components on the page.

  2. Pinning a component:
    • Right-click on the component you want to pin.
    • Select Size and then Advanced options.
    • Click Keep position.
    • Choose whether you want to pin the component to the top, bottom, left, or right of the screen.

The component will now remain in the selected position even when scrolling through the page while maintaining the same distance (in pixels) from the edge of the screen.

Pinning the Header

If you want the header of your website (containing, for example, a menu and logo) to remain visible when scrolling:

  1. Click Design in the toolbar.
  2. Select the Advanced option (gear icon).
  3. Enable the Hookups option.
  4. Click the green dashed line indicating the header.
  5. Click the arrow icon and select Release.

This will ensure that the entire header remains fixed in place when scrolling through the page.

💡 The Hookups feature is ideal for elements you want to keep permanently visible, such as navigation menus, logos, or quick contact buttons.
