Mac calendar synchronization

CalDAV provides full access to calendar data (read, edit, delete). Getting started consists of activating the synchronization of a specific calendar in webmail and adding the calendar account to Mac. Because macOS has a native CalDAV support, there is no need to install any add-on or application.

1. Activate synchronization in webmail

In the left menu, select Synchronization (1.)

Click on the tab Sync with CalDAV (2.)

Use the checkbox to select the calendar (3) to synchronize. You can also check multiple calendars (3a), they'll all be added to Mac at once.

2. Adding a calendar in macOS

Go to System Settings, choose Internet Accounts and select Add Other Account...

Select a CalDAV účet.

If you have the appropriate SRV records in DNS, select Automatic in the Add a CalDAV account

- Email address: your email address

- Password: mailbox password

If the automatic detection of the synchronization server address fails, you do not have the appropriate SRV records set up in DNS.

Therefore, select account type Manual

- Email address: your email address

- Password: mailbox password

- Server Address: syncdav.forpsi.com

Finish the wizard by click on the button Sign In

Finally you can edit the account’s description.

scheduling a meeting on the Mac side is not functional, the invitation message is not sent
