Email clients settings

To manage emails within our hosting services, you can use either our web interface webmail.forpsi.com or dedicated email clients.

Guides for the webmail.forpsi.com interface can be found in the Webmail section.

When adding a new account using an email client, it is necessary to set a server for sending and receiving emails. The configuration depends on whether you add an IMAP account (when using the client you can see the emails located in the mailbox on the server) or POP3 account (emails are downloaded to your computer and you can then decide whether their copy should be left on the server, or deleted from the server after the download).

For procedures for setting various mail clients using POP3 account, see the Email clients section, for IMAP account see the IMAP Settings section.

Generally, data for client configuration are as follows:

For POP3 account

server for incoming mail:
  • Name: pop3.forpsi.com
  • Port: 995 using SSL (recommended), or 110 with TLS or without encryption
  • Username: your entire address
  • Password: your password

server for outgoing mail:
  • Name: smtp.forpsi.com
  • Port: 465 using SSL (recommended), or 25 or 587 with TLS or without encryption
  • authorization is required by the server - the same credentials as for the incoming mail server

For IMAP account

server for incoming mail:
  • Name: imap.forpsi.com
  • Port: 993 with SSL (recommended), or 143 with TLS or without encryption
  • Username: your entire email address
  • Password: your password

server for outgoing mail:
  • Name: smtp.forpsi.com
  • Port: 465 using SSL (recommended), or 25 or 587 with TLS or without encryption
  • authorization is required by the server - the same credentials as for the incoming mail server

Note: Because ISP Internet providers often block port 25 for outgoing mail, we recommend to use port 587 with TLS, or 465 using SSL for the outgoing mail server.
