How to get an error message when messages can't be sent

SMTP server is now realized by solution Cloudmark Gateway provided by Cloudmark, which provides effective protection against overloading of the server and abuse of your email accounts for spamming.

When sending a message from email client, webmail, script etc. fails, first, try to get the error message returned from smtp.forpsi.com. Later, you can try to find out the reason for refusing connection in the article SMTP configuration - new. When you don't know why the message is refused, send us a new ticket with description of your situation and with the error mesage on portal support.forpsi.com. The error message contains important informations that cen help us finding the right reason of the service failure.

Here are the basic procedures how to get the error message with response from our smtp server in most common email clients and webmail.

MS Outlook 2010

There are two possible ways how MS Outlook 2010 behaves when it refuses to send messages:

1. Sending off emails ends with an error - an alert window Outlook Send/Recieve Progress is displayed.
 

 

If the window above is not displayed, check, whether text "Send/Recieve Error - click here" is displayed in the status bar down on the right side. After clicking on this text, the alert window above is displayed.
 

Or you can click on the button Show Progress in Send/Recieve tab.
 

After displaying the alert window click on the error message text, copy it using Ctrl + C and insert it into a new ticket, which you can create on support.forpsi.com.

2.  A new message with subject: Undeliverable will be delivered into your Inbox. Copy the content of this message and send it to us in a new ticket with description of the problem.


MS Outlook 2007

There are also two possible ways how MS Outlook 2007behaves, when it refuses to send messages:

1. Sending off emails ends with an error, the alert window Outlook Send/Recieve Progress is displayed.
 

 


If the window above is not displayed, check whether text "Send/Recieve Error - click here" is displayed in the status bar down on the right side. After clicking on this text, the alert window above will be displayed.
 

Or you can click on button Send/Recieve, then choose Send/Recieve Settings and then Show progress...
 

After displaying the alert window click on the error message text, copy it using Ctrl + C and insert it into a new ticket, which you can create on support.forpsi.com.

2.  A new message with subject: Undeliverable will be delivered into your Inbox. Copy the content of this message and send it to us in a new ticket with description of the problem.

Mozilla Thunderbird

When a message can't be sent, an alert window is displayed. Copy the error message text into a new ticket on portal support.forpsi.com and send it to us.
 
 

When you click on OK button, the message is moved into the Sent Item. When you want to display the error message again, try to send the message once more.

Opera Mail

When the email client can't send the message, the alert window "Mailer Error" is displayed. Copy the error message text into a new ticket on portal support.forpsi.com and send it to us, please.

 


When you click on Close button, message is moved into your Outbox. when you want to display the error message again, try to send the message once more.

iPad

When the email client can't send a message, this popup window with error message of iPad is displayed.
 

Because the error message doesn't contain any server response, add to your new ticket (on portal support.forpsi.com) description of the situation, the email address of sender and recipient, and the IP of your iPad (or iPhone).

Outlook Express

When the email client can't send a message, this popup window with the error message is displayed.
 

When the this popup window with the error message is not displayed, click on text "Error" in the status bar down on the right.
 

Copy the error message text into a new ticket on portal support.forpsi.com and send it to us, please.

Webmail

When sending off a message fails, this popup window with the error message is displayed. Copy the error message text into a new ticket on portal support.forpsi.com and send it to us with the addresses of sender and recipients, please.
 

After closing the popup window, go back to the tab for creating a new message. Here, you can save the message into Drafts, find out the reason of the failure, and send the message later.

Default email client for Android

When the email client can't send a message, no error message is displayed, the message is only moved into the item Sent. In the preview of the message, an icon with red triangl is displayed.
 

Send us the IP of your mobile phone (you can find it out on whatismyip.com) along with the addresses of sender and recipients in a new ticket on portal support.forpsi.com .

Android K-9 Mail

when the email client can't send a message, the text "Failure to send some messages" is displayed.
 

Dragging it from the notification area, you display details of the error message down, underneath it.
 

Send us the error message text, IP of your mobile phone (you find it on whatismyip.com), along with the adresses of sender and recipients in a new ticket on portal support.forpsi.com .
