The Redirect service allows you to set a permanent redirect (HTTP 301) for your domain to another web address / URL.
Redirect is especially useful if you want to:
- unify multiple domains under one main website,
- retain traffic and improve your SEO ranking, as a 301 redirect is recognized by search engines as permanent,
- redirect an older or alternative domain (e.g. with a hyphen or a different extension) to your current website,
- use a simple domain as an easy-to-remember link to a more complex URL,
- redirect a domain to your personal or company profile on social networks (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
This way, your domain can serve not only as an entry point to your website but also as an elegant shortcut to other forms of online presence.
🔒 HTTPS Support
A domain with the Redirect service enabled is available via both http:// and https://.
The redirection will therefore work correctly even when the address is entered with HTTPS, and visitors will not encounter a secure connection error.

🛒 Ordering the Service
The Redirect service can be ordered in two ways:
- when registering a new domain – for example, if you want the domain mydomain.site to point directly to your main website or company profile,
- for an already registered domain – the service can be activated at any time via the customer administration.
The Redirect service can be ordered
only for a domain that uses FORPSI DNS servers and at the same time
does not have another active web service (such as
web hosting,
WP Ready,
F-Page).
Ordering process during domain registration
- In the shopping cart, select the domain you wish to register.
- In the list of additional services, click on Redirect or the "Configure" button.
- Enter the full target address to which the domain should be redirected, for example:
https://www.forpsi.com/doplnkove-sluzby/
- Click the "Add to cart" button:
The Redirect service is always active until the end of the domain’s registration period when ordered together with a new domain registration.
For example, if the domain is registered for 5 years, the redirection will remain active for the entire period unless you disable or cancel the service earlier.
Ordering process for an already registered domain
- Log in to the customer administration.
- In the list of domains, select the one for which you want to activate Redirect.
- In the domain detail, click Redirect
- Select “Order additional services (Redirect)” and enter the full target address (URL) in the order form.
If your domain is registered for a longer period, you can also choose the domain anniversary until which the Redirect service should remain active:
When ordering the Redirect service for an already registered domain with a longer validity period, you can select the desired term according to the domain’s anniversary until which the service will be provided.
The service is billed with a minimum billing period of 1 year; however, this does not refer to a calendar year from the date of order. The determining factor is always the expiration date of the domain for which the service is set up.
⚙️ Managing the Redirect Service
After activating the Redirect service, you can easily manage the settings in the customer administration:
- Change of target address (URL) – you can modify the destination of the redirection at any time. Simply enter a new address and save the change.
- Disabling the Redirect service – if you no longer wish to use redirection or want to pause it, you can disable it. In this case, the domain will not point to any address, and an error page will be displayed.
- Service cancellation – if you wish to completely terminate the Redirect service before the domain’s expiration date, you can use the Service cancellation option directly in your customer administration.
- Service cancellation – by using the Service cancellation option in your customer administration, you can give notice to terminate the Redirect service.
The service will remain active until the end of the current paid period and will not be renewed automatically.
On the domain detail page, you can also view:
- the currently set target address,
- Redirect IP (DNS A) – the IP address of the server that handles the 301 redirect for your domain,
- the service validity date (same as the domain expiration date).
❌ Cancelling the Service
If you no longer wish to use the Redirect service, you have two options:
- when renewing the domain for another period, simply do not select this service,
- you can use the “Service cancellation” option in your customer administration - the service will stay active until the end of the paid period,
- or contact our customer support, who can cancel it immediately upon your request.
If the Redirect service is active for a domain, it is
not possible to order other webhosting services from our offer. In such a case, you must first cancel Redirect – our customer support will be happy to help you with that.
